Most people have heard about Meniere’s disease, but unless you suffer from it, you may not fully understand what it is. Meniere’s disease is an issue with the inner ear and is known for:
The ear is a complicated organ of the body. It is lined with tiny sensors that respond to the fluid contained within the inner ear. If something changes – the pressure, the chemicals, or the amount of fluid – Meniere’s disease can ensue. While no one fully understands why Meniere’s disease happens, it has been agreed upon that it is connected to a reduced flow of blood to the brain. A study reported on in the Tech Times discovered this link and how it relates to other medical conditions, such as migraines.
Here at The Head and Spine Pain Center, we realize the connection between a misalignment in the upper neck and a number of different health issues, including Meniere’s. The bones at the top of the spine just beneath the skull must be in proper alignment so blood flow can reach and exit the brain in the right amount. A misalignment here hinders blood flow and negatively impacts brainstem function.
We use a method that is both gentle and precise to help realign the bones of the neck without having to force or crack them. This method encourages the bones to move more naturally back in place, leading to longer-lasting results. Once corrected, blood flow can return to normal and an improvement in Meniere’s symptoms often results. Some have seen their Meniere’s go away and not come back.
